I went to college for half a semester and quit because I was dealing with too much drama. You wanna get to know me? You better be ready to handle me. I was born and raised in the south, and Ive never gotten too far away from home for very long, so far. I like it here. Aint no Mamas boy, but I love my Mama, and family. I was in Boy Scouts and Little League Baseball, but never mastered Roller Skating.(I kinda still regret that)I had a radio and record player before first grade. My first 45rpm was Blue Moon by: The Marcels-.77 cents at W.T. Grants. First LP was Country & Western Hits, that my NeNaw gave me. I survived the 60s and 70s not much worse for the wear. I didn't inhale either and I don't know what that is on that girl's dress. Ive never been arrested or been in jail or prison. Never been in a law suit, audited by the IRS, declared Bankruptcy, or won the Lotto. Never had any teeth knocked out, broken bones, long term amnesia or any out of body experiences. I did manage to lose alot of the hair I had, but maintained a perfectly good twisted sense of humor and posses better than average hindsight. Some folks might label my cultural pride as redneck, I don't mind. That's just ignorance, I suppose. I drive a pick-up truck and like to dance, once I became invisible. Concerts I attended in the past six months include Marcia Ball, Vasser Clements, Savoy Brown, Rolling Stones, Delbert McClinton (twice), and Leroy Parnell. Enjoy NASCAR Racing and made six races last season. Like to shoot pool and I fish ALOT. Been know to kill and eat cats (just kiddin). I love the little feline furballs and all animals except the poisonous ones and some of the mean two-legged ones I've met. I thought I had women all figured out once but then I woke up and all I could remember was something about soulmates and long walks on the beach. Is that all there is? Somebody kill me.

Greetings! I'm really not very familiar with these "personal ads." And I don't really know why I decided to post one. I guess I just figured I'd take a chance; that's really all that anything is, isn't it? Taking a chance - hoping that it'll somehow have a benefit. So, here I am. I really love music, no one particular kind. Classical, Jazz, Blues, New Age, Christian, Oldies, Alternative, some Pop (it depends), Musicals, Broadway shows, etc. I also love to read and write. I had this goal when I was about 12 that I was going to publish a book by the time I was 25, so maybe that'll happen. I've started; yet only on page 48, how does that work? I like to set goals for myself, and usually I attain them, but recently I've been having some issues in my life. Nothing major, I also strive for optimism, but I guess I have put my faith and trust in guys a few too many times, and it really hasn't given me that 'benefit' I've been looking for. I'm an electronics engineer who has always worked for non-profit health and social service agencies, and I voted for Ralph Nader in the last two presidential elections. Once in a blue moon I will pretend to do some yoga for exercise. My fashion icon isn’t James Bond; its Shaggy from “Scooby-Doo.” The last few plays I saw on Broadway were Medea, Proof, and Hedda Gabler, all great. I love dancing (even though its not as easy as it was twenty years ago) and I’m willing to risk embarassment in public places. Fave movies are: Blade Runner, Wings of Desire, Moulin Rouge. Fave music: U2, Peter Gabriel, REM, Kate Bush, Bjork.
